Testimonials
'Where to even begin?! Leigh came to deliver a Roman Workshop to my year 3 class who have been MORE than excited for weeks, and he absolutely smashed our expectations and more! We had such a fun jam packed day; the children couldn’t decide which part of the day was their favourite because they enjoyed every single activity. Leigh carried out some amazing activities and had the children absolutely enthralled throughout, he answered every single question they threw at him and was so friendly and approachable. The whole day was seamless and planned perfectly, the risk assessment was detailed, I genuinely believe it was worth every penny. I would and will be recommending all of my teacher friends to use Historic Workshops - The children didn’t want him to leave at the end of the day and have already begged me to bring him back for our next topic! Thank you Leigh! As one of the children said, ‘if I was to rate today out of 10, I would give it 1000000!’ - Mrs Gill, Cop Lane C of E Primary School, Preston
'Just wanted to say a huge thankyou to Richard for the Roman workshop today. Both the WW2 and Roman workshop from your company has been amazing and we’ve referred you to another school. We will also be using you in the future for our other topics! The children had a fantastic day once again and I just felt the need to say what a brilliant company this is.
Thanks again and hopefully see you all soon - great work and a huge thanks from the children!' Esther Deackes, Churcham Primary School

"I just wanted to touch base to say thank you to yourselves as a company and to Richard the workshop leader for an outstanding Roman workshop today. The pupils had a superb day, they were engaged throughout and loved the different aspects of the day, the artefacts, the fact finding, the games and of course learning how to be a Roman soldier! We all learnt a lot (teachers included) and it was lovely to hear several children say it was the best trip ever - not bad considering they didn't leave the school!" Rachael Glover, Peterston Super Ely CiW Primary School, Wales.
"What a fantastic day! From the second the children stepped into the classroom, Richard engaged them, staying in role as a Roman sent forward in time, masterfully retelling key events from the past and bringing them to life. The session was incredibly interactive and inclusive with a mixture of role-play, handling of real and replica artefacts, and story-telling with humorous and gruesome details included. Not only were the children were enthralled throughout but so much of our topic was covered in expert detail; this was a day we will all remember forever." Emily Hawkins, Christ Church CE Primary School.
"Thank you so much for the Roman Workshop for our year 3 children. It was another amazing day. They really thought I had a time machine and asked me the next day if I'd allowed you to go back home! Of course I was kind and let you. The children enjoyed getting to ask you their questions they'd come up with through the course of our topic, learning how to defend themselves in battle and the games you brought along. We had a little class tournament to find out who was the best be recreating the games using playdough. Thank you again for another amazing, well thought out and organised day." Tammy Irving, Moorpark Junior School.
